Name: Oana-Maria Harabagiu

Age and lives in: I am 35 years old and I live in a small mountain village next to Bran Castle. I have worked as a tour guide for 9 years now.

My qualifications and expertise:

I have studied for my bachelor in Anthropology and Cultural Science and for my master’s degree in Intercultural Management. After I finished my master’s degree, I started working with children in outdoor camps (from here I discovered my true passion for guiding and working with people) and I did courses for cultural and mountain guide. In 2017 I started working full time as a cultural and mountain guide. Also, when I started working with Foundation Conservation Carpathia, I did other courses for nature educator and wildlife guide and also a ranger course. For the future, I am thinking of enrolling in another bachelor or master programme that is related to conservation, biology, or forestry. Since 2017 I have led many different groups, and my job still gives me a lot of satisfaction, because all my guests leave with a different image about Romania.

About myself:

I love spending time outdoors, hiking, mountain biking, climbing, looking for animal tracks, and enjoying time in the forest or around a campfire. I love horses and horseback riding and a good book.

Why I lead group tours for REISEN MIT SINNEN?

I will lead tours for REISEN MIT SINNEN starting 2026 because I resonate with their way of travelling, the attention to the environment, to the host country, and the desire to discover new things. At the same time, the small groups, amazing activities, meeting the locals, and local traditions make the perfect mix. I am really happy to lead my guests on trails of the Carpathian mountains, searching for undisturbed nature, to introduce them to local traditions and food, and of course a crash course in Romanian history and culture.
